LIBRICIDE RELEASES HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED NEW FULL-LENGTH ALBUM "CONSILIENCE"

The day has arrived ladies and gentlemen, Libricide’s brand new full-length album Consilience is now available everywhere music is sold and streamed. Visit the Libricide LinkTree for access to your platform.

The brand new record from Libricide is eleven tracks of impeccably written and produced work. Featuring powerful yet grooving, catchy yet brooding songs with clear cultural impact and influence- while still weaving a common thread in their own approach and sound, Consilience has something every new music fan can enjoy.

The group stands out amongst their peers in its brand-ability, approachable songwriting, powerful sound, and stage show. Writing timeless music that anyone can relate to, they naturally follow in the footsteps of much of the great artists we all grew up on.

Produced by lead singer-songwriter Harun Gadol, the album marks a stunning catapult in production quality for the group since their self-titled debut, marking an exciting leap forward in not just their songwriting chops but also mass-marketability. Meaning “unity of knowledge”, Consilience represents the alliance formed in the making of the record, as the band’s internal team of songwriting and arrangement aligns with external collaboration alongside such artisans of production as Ted Jensen (The Eagles, Green Day, Norah Jones) and John Ferrara (Cro-Mags, Trophy Scars, Young Thieves). If the first album endeavored to captivate the local scene, Consilience represents the band’s new emergence to cross the threshold into reaching audiences across the nation, and the world.

LIBRICIDE Envision Dystopian Future On LATEST Single “SILENCE”, AHEAD OF NEW ALBUM

Libricide have released their latest single, “Silence”, the second so far in the rollout of their new album Consilience, out everywhere April 8th.

“Silence” depicts the world of a concerned and increasingly exasperated citizen in an over-reaching surveillance state. The song jumps in parts between the subject and their issues with modern society and a falsely placating, propagandizing, “sentient” governmental technology.

When we were working on this song, we had no idea what the end result was going to be,” explains lead guitarist Dylan Stark. “When you write a tune and flesh it out in either the rehearsal room or the studio, it takes on a life of its own and doesn’t always turn out the way you had originally envisioned. This was one of those tunes. Once we started to work on it and put all of our ideas together, it indeed took on a life of its own & began to write itself out.”

LIBRICIDE'S HARUN GADOL SHINES ON EARLY STP CULT-ERA CLASSIC

Libricide Studios teamed up with NYC musician friend Murota Yamaguchi for the early Stone Temple Pilots/Mighty Joe Young-era classic, “Only Dying”. Originally intended for their debut album Core as well as The Crow soundtrack, “Only Dying” became a deep but powerful cut that only saw the proper light of day on STP’s 25th Anniversary Box Set. Libricide singer/founder Harun Gadol’s voice shines out as particularly gut-wrenching in homage to the late and great Scott Weiland.

LIBRICIDE STUDIOS RELEASES HEAVY-HITTER "HUNGRY HEART" A LA RAMONES

The amorphous and ever-evolving studio group returns with their interpretation of the 1980’s Springsteen breakout.

“In March of '79 Bruce Springsteen and Joey Ramone met backstage at a Ramones show in Asbury Park, NJ. It was here that it was rumored that Joey asked Bruce to write a song for the band. Upon hearing the track he wrote, Bruce’s producer and manager Jon Landau insisted he keep the song for himself, which famously went on to become one of his biggest hits from his 1980 album, “The River”.”

What would Hungry Heart have sounded like if the Ramones actually got it? We sent our team of expert musicologists to find out.

NEW SINGLE "LAST TIME" TOP 5 MOST ADDED/TOP 50 ON METAL CONTRABAND

Libricide’s latest single “Last Time” becomes Top 5 most added radio single in the country on Metal Contraband the week of May 12th, and has a national chart debut this week on the Top 50 list with heavy hitters in both rock and metal categories.

Libricide releases a taste of some long-awaited new music with their grungy but catchy, guitar driven power ballad “Last Time”. The track marks a significant evolution in not only their songwriting approach and delivery, but production quality as well.

Though not originally intended to be a single, lead singer and guitarist Harun Gadol states,

“We’d actually been sitting on this track for a little bit; it was a product of some great sessions we had with producer John Ferrara over at Portrait Recording Studios in New Jersey. But with everything that’s happened recently, larger and even mid-sized studios have obviously had to shut down. And though we are still working heavily on our follow-up, we didn’t know when we’d be able to get back in there.”

And why not! With the majority of people still being required to stay indoors media consumption has been at an all-time high. They had also released a fun behind-the-scenes teaser video of their sessions which can be seen here: https://bit.ly/3e5elpa

The group are still producing and writing plenty (and have even launched Libricide Studios, a fully-functional production facility conglomerate to serve as HQ for larger and more diverse projects) and plan to have much more awesome music and content in the coming year.

Special thanks to Metal Contraband, Skateboard Marketing Ltd., and the NACC Chart.

LIBRICIDE SLAYS DINGBATZ W/ BUMBLEFOOT (Ex-GNR, ASIA, SONS OF APOLLO)

Quick line checks and unpatched monitors didn’t keep the group from delivering one of their most crowd-pleasing performances to date, with a sing-along breaking out during their cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mama I’m Coming Home”, and a devout “worship” segment from the local School of Rockers in the audience for Dylan Stark’s “Eruption” rendition (of Van Halen fame). Many friends made and a substantial email list signup proved the night to be another great success.

LIBRICIDE shares the stage with Swedish neo-classical guitar virtuoso and heavy metal/rock legend Yngwie J. Malmsteen on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY.

After a lengthy sound check for the Malmsteen team, Libricide gets what might be their shortest “sound check” in their professional history, FIVE minutes before doors open for the night. Despite this, they were able to tune their levels quickly with the in-house staff and delivered a high-energy, riveting performance chock-full of a healthy blend of originals and covers that got the entire theater on their feet for the rest of the evening.

Other Acts: Yngwie Malmsteen, Last Pharaoh, Dyspell

Setlist: Critical Mass, Tornado of Souls (Megadeth), No Accident, Mama I’m Comin’ Home (Ozzy Osbourne), Shavings Carver, Eruption (Van Halen), Cult of Personality (Living Colour)
